Danish sexologist believes children should be taught to critique porn in the classroom

Sex education is schools can be a contentious issue but an idea from a Danish sexologist is sure to set a new bar for controversy.

Aside from the obligatory birds and the bees talk, professor Christian Graugaard is calling for porn to be critiqued in classrooms to allow students to critically analyse the video in an academic setting.

“Instead of having sex education be boring and technical … I want us to educate young people to be critical consumers who see porn with reflection and critical distance,” he told a Danish public broadcaster last month.
